Applications are invited for filling up of following posts on secondary basis initially for a period of one year in the instance and further extendable, subject to performance from the eligible regular candidates of Government Departments/Boards/Corporations ans Universities etc as per details given below :

Name of the Post Principal Scientific Officer (Industrial Biotechnology)

Pay Scale PB-4{Rs. 15600-39100 + (Rs 7800)}

Qualification and experience: Ph.D in life sciences/biotechnology or equivalent with minimum eight years of experience(Post Ph.D) in research and development preferably in Industrial Biotechnology or related field from Government Departments/institutions/Industries

Name of the Post Principal Scientific Officer(General)

Pay Scale PB PB-4{Rs. 15600-39100+(Rs. 6600 GP)}

Qualification and experience: Ph.D in Life Sciences or equivalent with minimum eight years of experience(Post Ph.D) in research and development preferably in related field from Government Departments/Institutions/Industries

Name of the Post Sr. Scientific Officer

Pay Scale PB PB-4{Rs. 15600-39100+(Rs. 6600 GP)}

Qualification and experience: Post Graduate in Economics/Environmental Economics or related Sciences with Statistic as main subject or its equivalent from recognized university from an Institute duly recognized by the Central/Himachal Pradesh Govt. with minimum eight years of experience.

Name of the Post Environment Engineer

Pay Scale PB-3{rs. 10300+(Rs. 5000 GP)}

Qualification and experience: Bachelor Degree in Engineering preferably in subjects related to environment or its equivalent from recognized University or from an Institution duly recognized by the Central/HP Govt. with minimum five years of experience in the related field.

Name of the Post Research Assistant

Pay Scale PB-3{Rs. 10300-34800_(Rs. 3800 GP)}

Qualification and experience: Post Graduate in applied Sciences preferably in Environment Science, ecology, forest, Atmospheric Sciences, Climate Change, Hydrology, Geology, Zoology, Botany and geography or its equivalent from a recognized University or from an Institution duly recognized by Central/HP Govt.

Name of the Post Data Entry Operator

Pay Scale PB-2{Rs. 5910-20200+(Rs. 1900 GP)}

Qualification and experience:

Essential Qualification

10+2 examination passed or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University.

Should posses one year Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized University/ Institute

General Conditions :-

1. It is expected from the candidates to have knowledge of local dialect, manners and customs and suitability for working in Himachal Pradesh.

2. The Secretary – cum –Director, Department of Environment, Science & Technology reserves, the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for the interview, if considered necessary, on the basis of qualifications and experience as prescribed in the advertisement by way of screening of applications. Those candidates, who do not fulfill the qualification at the closing/ last date of submission of application may not apply and such application if received shall not be considered. The date of interview shall be intimated separately to all eligible candidates.

Age : between 18-45 years.

The engagement would be purely on secondment basis on year basis and may further be extended subject to yearly which would be based upon the performance assessment/ review of the candidate.

The decision of the Secretary-cum-Director, Department of Environment, Science & Technology shall be final and binding in all the matters concerning this recruitment.
