Applications are invited in the prescribed Form available on SOL website for constituting a panel of Guest Teachers who possess the minimum qualification for the post of an Assistant Professor as per the UGC guidelines. These Guest Teachers will be paid Rs.1000/- per lecture to a maximum of Rs.25,000/- per month from all the sources. The empanelled Teachers will assist in preparation of SOL course material, provide counseling / classes to a group of students admitted in Under Graduate / Post Graduate programmes of School of Open Learning by using information communication technology and interacting with the students at the specified locations at different constituent colleges of University of Delhi as and when required during the year. The academic qualifications for the Guest Teachers as prescribed by the UGC is as under:
“Good academic record with at least 55% (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST or those who passed their Master’s degree prior to 10.09.1991 and hold a Ph.D. degree) or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grade O, A, B,C,D,E & F at the Master’s degree level in the subject namely Hindi, English, Economics, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Education, Punjabi, Urdu, Political Science, History, Tamil, Home Science and Commerce from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. Candidates should have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lecturers / Assistant Professors conducted by the UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC.
Note: NET/SLET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Lecturer / Asstt.Professor provided however that candidates who have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the UGC (Minimum Standards and procedure for Awards of M.Phil/Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET”.
Ad-hoc Teachers / Research Scholars (who fulfils the prescribed qualifications), Retired Teachers / permanent teachers of Colleges may apply under this scheme within 15 days from the issue of this advertisement(from 13th July 2010) to the Assistant Registrar (Establishment), School of Open Learning, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 in the prescribed form available on the SOL website http://sol.du.ac.in
