About SPEAR
SPEAR - School of Arts and Aesthetics Project of Education in Arts and Resource Development is funded by the Dorabji Tata Trust. The three year period of the grant [July 2008 – June 2011] will help the School of Arts and Aesthetics to build a model plan for Education in the Arts.
Research Assistant [One] required for the Cinema Studies
The Cinema Studies at School of Arts and Aesthetics requires a Research Assistant to assist in the pedagogical and research administration. The successful candidate will hold responsibility to assist with Library/Archive work, and also assist in the management of the annual conference and workshops. The Research Assistant can be PHD student or one who can display a commitment to Research in the field of Theatre and Performance. He/she will work for 25 hours a week and liaison with the Faculty members under whom he/she is working. The nature of the work for the Cinema stream will be devised and worked out between the Research Assistant and the Faculty members.
The successful candidate will be appointed for One Year on a contractual basis.
Monthly Salary – Rs 10,000/-

Applications are invited for one purely temporary post of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Cancer Biology Laboratory under CSIR funded project entitled “Antiangiogenic Effects and Mechanisms of Acacetin – a Potential Role in Cancer Control”.
Salary: As per CSIR rule
Essential Qualifications: M. Sc. in Biological Sciences with 55% Marks, NET
Desired: (a) Experience in handling of and experimentation with mammalian cell culture. (b) Knowledge about tumor angiogenesis and cell signaling in cancer cells. (c) Publication in the area of cancer biology, if any.
Duration of the project: The project is valid for a period of three years. The selected candidate will be appointed on purely temporary basis initially for a period of one year or till his/her services are required by the project director or till the validity of the project, or whichever is earliest.
