Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Asia’s first Space University was established under the Department of Space in September 2007. IIST is presently offering 4-year B. Tech programmes in “Aerospace Engineering”, “Avionics” and “Physical Sciences”. Ph.D and M.Tech programmes have already commenced while Post-Doctoral Fellowship in specific areas of Space Science and Technology will be offered soon.

Eligible candidates may appear in Walk-in-Interview for the post of Senior Research Fellow in the NAIP subproject ‘Unraveling molecular processes involved in adventive polyembryony towards genetic engineering for the fixation of heterosis’.

Emoluments: Rs. 12,000/- + HRA (fixed)
Qualifications
Essential: First class M.Sc. in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or related subjects
Desirable: Research experience in gene cloning and transformation
Age Limit: 35 years max. (5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and women candidates as per ICAR rules)
The above post is purely temporary in nature and is co-terminus with the project (current sanction up to 31-3-2012). The initial offer is for a period of one year only. The candidates appearing for interview must bring five copies of bio-data in the prescribed format, and also must furnish original certificates, attested photocopies of each of the certificates and a copy of recent passport size photograph. No TA/DA would be given for attending the interview. Only the candidates with essential qualifications would be entertained for the interviews.

Desirable: qPCR and microarray data analysis.

Qualifications: M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Physiology/Life Sciences/ Genetics.
Essential: Persons with experience in qRT-PCR, western blotting and genotyping of plants only should apply.
Desirable: Experience in flax growing and stress treatment of plants.
