Applications are invited for Project Scientist and Project Engineer in MoES sponsored Project entitled “Cosmic Rays-Cloud-Climate Conundrum: Can Ion-Aerosol Near-Cloud Mechanism explain the Observed Correlations?” on plain paper.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Project Scientist
- A minimum of Ph.D. in either of Physics/Environmental Sciences/Atmospheric Sciences. The candidates with M.Sc. in Physics/Environmental Sciences/Atmospheric Sciences/with three year work experience are also eligible for the advertised position.
2. Project Engineer
- M. Tech. in either of Civil Engineering/Computer Sciences/Environmental Engineering. The candidates with B. Tech in Civil Engineering/ Computer Sciences/ Environmental Engineering with three year work experience also eligible for the advertised position.
The candidates with sound knowledge of computer programming (Linux/Fortran/Matlab) will be preferred.
Salary: Rs. 22000-44000- pm (Depending on the experience)

Applications are invited for the posts of Junior Research Fellow and Project Assistant in the Department of Applied Chemistry, Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University for a DRDO, Govt. of India Sponsored Project entitled “Synthesis of nanostructured adsorbents and study of their adsorption characteristics for the removal of selected metallic pollutants from water and waste water” for a period of three years. The posts are purely temporary and co-terminated with the project. The required qualifications, age and emoluments to be paid are as follows:
1. Junior Research Fellow (One): Qualifications, M.Sc. in Chemistry/Applied Chemistry, with at least 55% marks, NET/GATE qualified; Age: 28 Years (maximum), Emolument Rs: 16,000/- P.M. fixed + HRA .
2. Project Assistant (One): Qualification, M.Sc. in Chemistry/Applied Chemistry, with at least 55% marks, formal knowledge of working on computer, Age: preferably below 35 Years maximum, Emolument Rs: 8,000/- P.M. fixed.
A relaxation of 5 years in age will be given to SC/ST, Physically Handicapped, Female candidates. All things being equal , SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules. The candidates (for project assistant) with some working lab experience in chemistry and related filed will be preferred.

Candidates who have appeared in their final examinations will also be considered but their selection will be provisional.
