MOES/PVB SPONSORED RESEARCH PROJECT

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of two Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) to work in the Ministry of Earth Sciences/Prithvi Vigyan Mantralay, New Delhi sponsored Research Project titled “Impact of sea level fluctuations along Karnataka Coast based on Remote Sensing and GIS Techniques”. The Fellowship amount is Rs. 12,000/ + 480/- (HRA)-per month.

Qualification: Fist Class/ High Second class M.Sc. Degree in Geology/ Earth Sciences and Resources Management/ Applied Geology/ Marine Geology.

Applications are invited for the posts of Clerk-cum-Data Entry Operator in the department of Computer Science & Applications, Panjab University, Chandigarh to be filled in through Walk-in-Interview, purely on temporary basis for a period of one year till the regular post is filled in through proper selection whichever is earlier.

The posts carry the basic pay plus other allowances admissible as per University rules Rs. 3120 –5160 plus allowances admissible under the university rules.

Qualifications :- Graduation in any stream from a recognized University or its equivalent examinations with at least 50% marks ( 45% for SC/ST ) in aggregate and Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) from a recognized university.

OR

B.A./B.C.A /B.B.A/B.Com ./ B.Sc. from a recognized university or its equivalent examination with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate with Computer Science & Applications as one of the elective subjects.

Desirable : Knowledge of software tools such as MS-office, Windows, OS, MS Access Database, Page maker, Photoshop and CC++/VB.

All the candidates will be required to qualify a combined written practical test in Computer Applications.

Age : Not less than 18 years and more than 35 years as on the date of test.
