BABA GHULAM SHAH BADSHAH UNIVERSITY RAJOURI (J&K)

Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), a residential-technical university located in the foothills of the Pir-Panjal in Rajouri (J&K) was established by Act No XVI of 2002 of the State Legislature. BGSBU presently offers seven postgraduate programmes viz Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Business Administration – Financial management (MBA- FM), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), MSc (Applied Mathematics), MA (Arabic), MSc (Information Technology) and MSc ( Bioresources & Biotechnology) through its six Schools of Studies ; five engineering( B. Tech) programmes viz. B.Tech, Computer Sciences & Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication , Civil Engineering , Electrical & Renewable Energy through College of Engineering and Technology; two undergraduate programmes - BBA and BCA ; and Engineering (Diploma) programme in Electronics & Communication, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical & Renewable Energy. The University has also established three Centres for promoting Research & Development – Centre for Biodiversity Studies, Centre for New & Renewable Energy, Centre for Industrial Technology & Management. The University, duly recognized by UGC has the distinction of having both MBA and MCA courses approved by AICTE, right from inception.
