Project Fellow Advertisement

Two positions of Project Fellows in CAS Physics (@ Rs 8000 pm consolidated and purely temporary) have fallen vacant effective immediately. The third is also likely to be available very soon. Applications are invited for these, so as to reach CAS office latest by 26th July 2010. The interviews will be held at 4.00 PM on 28th July 2010 in the committee room of School of physics. No TA DA is admissible for attending interviews.

Minimum Qualification is M Sc (First Class) in Physics. Additional research experience is desirable. Plain paper application with all the details including any research experience should be accompanied by a project proposal to be undertaken by the candidate and duly forwarded with specific recommendation of one of the faculty members in the school who will be the advisor and faculty responsible for completion of the proposed project. The basic mandate for these project fellow positions is to contribute significantly to the research efforts of the Centre for Advanced Studies in Physics. Therefore, the students who have completed a degree in the university and are just waiting for a placement or admission outside the university are strongly discouraged to apply. All the existing Ph D scholars are encouraged to apply.
