The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode invites applications from suitable candidates for Four posts of Assistant (UR-2, OBC-1 and SC-1) and One post of Junior Assistant (OBC-1). One of the posts of Assistant is reserved for Differently Abled with Hearing Impairment.

I) ASSISTANT :

Pay Band (PB-2): Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay : Rs. 4200/-

(Minimum pay in the pay band Rs. 9300/- + GP Rs. 4200/-. Total basic pay: Rs. 13500/-)

Dearness Allowance (DA) - As applicable to Central Government employees. Current DA is 51% of basic pay. HRA - 20% or accommodation (subject to availability of quarters; Transport Allowance - 800/- + DA as applicable, LTC, Medical facilities, Contributory Provident Fund etc.

Grand Total: Rs. 24,293/- (Including HRA)

Qualifications - Must be a Graduate with 55% marks (Main and Subsidiary subjects) in any discipline and must have thorough knowledge of Computer applications in office.

II) JUNIOR ASSISTANT :

Pay Band (PB-1): Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay: Rs. 2400/-

(Minimum pay in the pay band Rs. 7510/- + GP Rs. 2400/-. Total basic pay: Rs. 9910/-)

Dearness Allowance (DA) - As applicable to Central Government employees. Current DA is 51% of basic pay. HRA - 20% or accommodation (subject to availability of quarters; Transport Allowance - 800/- + DA as applicable, LTC, Medical facilities, Contributory Provident Fund etc

Grand Total: Rs. 18154/- (Including HRA)

Title of the project: A multilayered approach to decipher unchartered mechanisms of asymmetric cell division

Funding Agency: Wellcome Trust/DBT India Alliance

Position: Junior Research Fellow

Number of Positions: 2

Qualification: Master’s degree in any area of Biological/ Chemical Sciences with minimum of 55% marks, qualified NET-JRF/LS or GATE (with valid score).

Experience: Familiarity with techniques in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Cell Biology.

Age limit: Not more than 28 years.

Salary: JRF-NET: monthly 16000/- + HRA; JRF-LS or GATE: 12000/- + HRA.

Duration: Initial appointment is for one year, extendable on yearly basis based on performance.
