The Indian School of Mines, established in 1926 offers B.Tech in Chemical, Computer Science & Engg, Electrical, Electronics, Environmental, Mechanical, Mineral, Mining, Mining Machinery,. and Petroleum Engineering, and M.Tech, MSc, MSc.Tech, MPhil, MBA and Ph.D programs in the areas of Engineering, Earth Sciences, Basic & Applied Sciences, Management, Humanities and Social Sciences, invites application from Indian nationals for the following position:

Librarian (1 Post-UR )

Qualification and Experience

(i) A Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven points scale and consistently good academic record set out in these Regulations.
(ii) At least thirteen years as a Deputy Librarian in a University library or eighteen years’ experience as a College Librarian.
(iii) Evidence of innovative library service and organization of published work.
(iv) Desirable :A. M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree in Library Science/Information Science documentation/archieves and manuscript-keeping.

Registrar (Estt), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad-826 004 by sending crossed demand draft of Rs.100/- drawn in favour of Registrar, Indian School of Mines , along with a self-addressed stamped (Rs.50/-) envelope of 30 cmx12cm size. SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying application fee and provision for reservation of SC/ST/PH/OBC will be applicable as per Government of India Rules. Candidates called for the interview will be paid sleeper class railway fare by the shortest route as per rules.
