Applications are invited for one position of Research Associate (RA)/Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/ Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the CSIR supported research project entitled “STUDIES ON THE ROLE OF MATRIX METALLO-PROTEINASES IN INCREASED BLOOD BRAIN-BARRIER PERMEABILITY IN EXPERIMENTAL DIABETES”, sanctioned to the undersigned. The duration of the project is upto June 2014. Interested candidates may submit their applications along with detailed resume, attested copies of certificates and work experience to the undersigned by 18.09.2013. The interview will be held on 20.09.2013 at 11:00 am in the office of the Chairperson, department of Biochemistry, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Essential Qualifications:

JRF: M.Sc. Degree in Biochemistry/Microbiology/Life sciences/ Biotechnology with at least 55% marks. Qualified CSIR-UGC NET/GATE examination in Life Sciences.

SRF: M.Sc. Degree in Biochemistry/Microbiology/Life sciences/ Biotechnology with at least 55% marks with 2 years of research experience.

RA: Ph.D degree in Biochemistry/Microbiology/Life sciences/ Biotechnology.

Salary: JRF: Rs. 16,000/-, SRF: 18,000/-, RA: 22,000/- + HRA.

Jesus & Mary College is a Christian Minority Institution and a constituent college of University of Delhi. Applications are invited for the 44 vacancies of Assistant Professor in the following departments of the College in the Pay Band of Rs. 15600-39100 with Academic Grade Pay Rs. 6000/- plus usual allowances as admissible under the rules of University of Delhi from time to time.

Essential Qualification for the post of Assistant Professor:-

1. Good academic record with atleast 55% (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST or those who passed their Master’s degree prior to 19.09.1991 and hold a Ph.D degree) or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grade O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Master’s degree from foreign University.

2. Candidates should have qualified the National Eligibility Test(NET) for Assistant Professors conducted by the UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC.

Note: - A relaxation of the minimum marks at the post-graduate level from 55% to 50% may be provided to the candidates who have cleared the JRF examination conducted by the UGC/CSIR only, prior to 1989, when the minimum marks required to appear for JRF examination were 50%.
