Pay Band: Rs.12,000-40,000/-+ Grade Pay of Rs. 6,100/- with other allowances and benefits admissible as per Gauhati University rules.

Educational qualification: Candidates must be MBBS from a recognised Unviersity with Hospital Experience in Gynaecology and Maternity work.

Age : Candidates should not be above 36 years as on 01.07.2011 In case of SC/ST candidates, there will be an age relaxation of 5 years.

Application Procedure: Application in tabular form on plain papers in duplicate giving full particulars of the candidate including qualification, marks obtained, experience, age etc. supported by attested copies thereof accompanied with a Bank Draft of Rs. 1000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST candidates) as an application fee drawn in favour of “Registrar, Gauhati University” payable at SBI, Gauhati University Branch only must be enclosed with the application. Applications must be submitted to the Registrar, Gauhati University, Guwahati-14. The last date of submission is 01.08. 2011. The application fee may also be paid in G.U. Cash Counter during office hours.

Those in employment should submit their applications through proper channel. Selected candidate will be required to reside in the University Campus at Jalukbari.

Candidates will have to appear before the Selection Committee for an interview at their own cost when called for. Mere fulfillment of academic qualifications will not entitle a candidate to be called for interview.

Qualification & Experience: Applicants should be post-graduates in any discipline (10+2+3+2) preferably with a degree or diploma in management OR engineering graduates preferably with degree or diploma in management OR a post-graduate in management from a reputed University/Institute as a full time student. Applicants should have a minimum of 20 years experience as an Officer out of which 10 years experience in senior administrative positions.
