Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) is a premier national Institute in the country dedicated to research in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Allied Sciences & Technology, devoted to carry out research in astronomy, Astrophysics and Allied Topics with its field stations in different locations. The Institute is engaged in developing a High resolution Echelle Spectrograph (HESP) as a phase -II instrument for HCT (Himalayan Chandra Telescope), in its field station, Indian Astronomical Observatory (IAO), Hanle.
