National Institute of Plant Genome Research, New Delhi is an Autonomous Research Institution funded by Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, to pursue research on various aspects of plant genomics. NIPGR invites applications from Indian Citizens for filling up the vacant posts on Direct Recruitment basis, as detailed below. The posts are temporary but likely to continue. The position of Consultant Engineer is on contract basis.
1 Staff Scientists
Pay Scale: 15,600-39,100 (with grade pay of ` 5400, 6600 and 7600), and ` 37,400-67,000 (with grade pay of ` 8700) plus usual allowances admissible to the Central Government employees. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms.
2 Management Assistant
Pay Scale 9,300-34,800 Grade Pay: 4,600
3 Junior Engineer (Electrical)
Pay Scale 9,300-34,800 Grade Pay: 4,200 (on contract)
4 Technician II
Pay Scale 5,200-20,200 Grade Pay: 2,000
5 Consultant Engineer
Pay Scale Consolidated salary and on contract basis as per experience in the relevant field and norms.

Inviting Applications For Project Positions
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of one Research Associate and one Project Assistant in DBT research project entitled 'Mapping of mungbean yellow mosaic India virus (MYMIV) resistance loci in soybean' and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in NIPGR "Short-Term Research Fellowships' scheme under the guidance of Dr. Manoj Prasad, Scientist, NIPGR.
(A) Research Associate (one post)

Candidates having first class M.Sc. degree in any subject of Life Science with two year of post M.Sc. research experience. Experience on working with molecular biology and genomics with atleast two international publications is highly desirable. The candidate should have first class/division throughout academic career.
The positions are completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above posts depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidates. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms.
