4. Proven experience in excellent human relations and successful personnel management, industrial relations, campus management and other aspects of administration, preferably in a large educational or R & D institution. All-round ability to co-ordinate and lead a team of officers with varied expertise.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow in a DST funded research project on "Characterizing the signalling network that sustains oral cancer stem cells for developing a targeted therapy" in the Laboratory of Dr. Tessy Thomas Maliekal.

Essential Qualifications

First Class in M.Sc. Biotechnology/ Biochemical Technology. NET qualified candidates are preferred. Experience in mammalian cell culture and handling oral cancer samples or cell lines, or experience in FACS, Immunoflourescence and immunohistochemistry are desirable.

Age: Below 30 years

Emoluments

Junior Research Fellow: Rs.16,000 /- + 20% HRA per month.

Duration: Three years or till termination of the project (whichever is earlier).

Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply and will be called for interview

Who can apply
Officers working in the Government of India Organized Accounts Departments holding a post with Grade Pay 4800/- and above can apply on deputation or absorption by technical resignation with lien to the parent department as per the CCS Rules.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Graduate with ICWAI/SAS (conducted by the Organised Accounts Departments of the Govt. of India)

2. Minimum 12 Years of Service in Government of India, with at least 8 years of experience in Commercial Audit at R&D/Production Establishments, Maintenance of Accounts, Preparation of Annual Accounts and thorough knowledge of day-to-day financial matters of which a minimum 5 Years of experience in Supervisory Cadre in Government of India.

Additional Desirable Qualifications

1. Liaisoning with various agencies/Ministry etc and coordination of day-to-day activities
2. Experience in Budgeting and related matters
3. Monitoring & Accounting of Allotment of Funds vis-à-vis Expenditure
4. Expertise in scrutiny & passing of various Bills/Claims of vendors
5. Knowledge of Pay & Accounts procedures
6. A Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application and/or expertise in accountancy software
7. Candidates with meritorious service records
