The Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers Rights Authority, an autonomous body established by an Act of Parliament (PPV&FR Act, 2001), invites applications for filling up one post of Registrar in the pay scale of Rs. 37,400-67,000/- (PB-4)with Grade Pay Rs. 8700 equivalent to Central Civil Services Group “A” Gazetted, Technical, Non-Ministerial, from amongst Officers of the Central/State Govt./UT/State Agricultural Universities/Recognized Research Institutions/Autonomous Organisations/Semi-Govt. organizations/PSUs.

Applications of willing and eligible candidates in the prescribed format available in the website www.plantauthority.gov.in along with photocopies of complete & upto date confidential reports /APARs of the last five years duly attested along with Vigilance clearance, integrity certificate and statement of major/minor penalty, if any imposed during the last 10 years, who can be spared in the event of their selection may be forwarded to the In-charge Administration, Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Authority, S 2, 2nd Floor, NASC Complex, DPS Marg, Opp. Todapur Village, New Delhi-110012, latest by 12th December, 2011 . While forwarding the applications, it may also be verified that the particulars furnished by the applicants are correct and that no Vigilance case is either pending and /or contemplated against him/ her and no major/minor penalty has been imposed on them during the last 10 years. The applications received without attested copies of confidential reports, Vigilance clearance, integrity certificate and statement of major/minor penalty, if any imposed during the last 10 years, or otherwise found
incomplete, or received after the last date of receipt of application will not be considered.

Qualifications for The Post of Registrar

Applications are invited for filling up of the post of Registrar in the scale of PB-4 Rs. 37400-67000 with GP of Rs.10000 from suitable candidates who fulfill the following qualifications and experience:-

Essential :

1. Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent.

2. Atleast 15 years of experience as Lecturer/Assistant Professor of which eight years should be in the

Assistant Professor’s grade, with experience in Educational Administration

OR

15 years of administrative experience of which eight years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post. The minimum requirement of 55% marks shall not be insisted upon in the case of existing incumbents who are already in the NIT system OR comparable experience in research establishments, institutions of technical education, or in Government.

Desirable :

1. A Postgraduate degree in Engineering with atleast 60% marks or its equivalent grade
2. A degree in Law/Management
3. Considerable experience in educational administrative, financial and accounts management and capacity to lead the administration in a residential institution and knowledge of computer and web-based administration.
4. Proven experience in excellent human relations and successful personnel management, industrial relations, campus management and other aspects of administration, preferably in a large educational or R & D institution. All-round ability to co-ordinate and lead a team of officers with varied expertise.
