The SAPMT is looking for enthusiastic professionals preferably with interest and knowledge in Gandhian thought and literature to help set up this facility. In addition to the relevant academic qualifications, proficiency in English, Hindi and Gujarati languages is a must. While the initial appointment is for a period of 3 years, the arrangement is extendable up to 5 years based on performance. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

1. A Chief Co-ordinator:

To co-ordinate setting up of GHPortal under the guidance of editors and web designers. We look for a mature person, with 5-7 years’ experience in co-ordinating portal / IT related projects, age 30 & above.

Will be a single point contact for the GHPC at the Gandhi Ashram, Sabarmati, Ahmedabad and all its agencies and will be responsible for all activities under the portal. Responsibility will extend from coordinating between the editorial and technical teams, outsourced agencies, government agencies, administration and accounting functions etc.

2. An IT Personnel:

B.E./EC/IT Computer, LAN and WAN, internet and working knowledge of programming.

Will be responsible for the upkeep of all computers at the Gandhi Ashram and under the project, networking, wide area networking and internet technologies. Additional knowledge of databases and working knowledge of programming languages will be an added advantage. Candidates working in similar background with at least 2-3 years experience will be preferred

3. An Administrative Assistant:

Any graduate with diploma / degree in management with 5 years’ experience in admin and accounts.

Will be responsible for all administrative activities related to the portal. Additional knowledge of accounting will be an advantage. Candidates should be capable of communicating in written English with various agencies independently and must be dynamic.

4. Individuals / Firms interested in designing the web portal are also encouraged to respond.

National Institute of Plant Genome Research, New Delhi

Applications are invited for filling up one position of Research Associate (RA) in the Institute with Dr. Naveen C. Bisht, Scientist, NIPGR, under "Short-Term Research Fellowship" programme. The position is completely on temporary basis with maximum duration of three years. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, but can be curtailed or extended based on the performance of the candidate and discretion of the Competent Authority.

Qualification: Candidates having Ph. D. degree in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology and any other related field) are eligible to apply. Experience of working with molecular biology and genomics is highly desirable. Those with experience with plant transformation techniques will be given preference.

The Fellowship amount for the position will be given at par with the similar fellowships by DBT/DST.

NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of post shall be as per Govt. of India norms.
