Applications are invited for the posts of (1) Development & Planning Officer, (2) System Analyst and (3) Assistant Librarian (Manuscripts & Historical Documents).

Scale of Pay : For the post at Sl. No. 1 - Rs. 12,000-420-18,300/- ; For the posts at Sl. Nos 2 & 3 - Rs. 8,000-275-13,500/- plus allowances as per University rules (Scales of pay are likely to be revised).

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :

1) For the post at Sl. No. 1 : Uniformly good academic record, Master’s Degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks from a recognised University. At least 7 (seven) years’ administrative experience in a position involving supervision, control and planning in a recognised reputed Institution of Higher Learning or in a Govt. / Quasi Govt. Organization.

2) For the post at Sl. No. 2 : Master’s Degree in any branch of Science/Engineering/Technology with at least 55% marks from a recognised University with knowledge of JAVA and experience in Multitier Web Applications using J2EE Technologies (EJB, Servlet, JSP etc.), Struts as Frame Work and Oracle as Data Base. At least 5 years’ working experience in a reputed organisation as a Web-Based Application Developer.

3) For the post at Sl. No. 3 : Uniformly good academic record, Master’s Degree in Library Science/Library & Information Science with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from any recognized University or Institution of Higher Learning. At least 5 years’ experience in a recognized Library preferably that of a University/ an Institution of Higher Learning.

Desirable :

1) For the post at Sl.No. 1 - Doctorate Degree or equivalent research work as evidenced through publication in recognized Research Journal (s).

2) For the post at Sl. No. 2 –– a) Working knowledge in C Programming Languages, Linux Operating System along with System Administration skill. b) Job involved with developing, debugging and maintaining of Web-based Modular Enterprise Applications using EJB, Struts, D2K etc. with Oracle as Database Server running on Linux Operating System.

3) For the post at Sl. No. 3 –– a) Qualified in the NET or SET in Library & Information Science b) Knowledge on Computerisation of Library.

Age : Not below 35 years as on 01-04-2010 for the post at Sl. No. 1 ; Not below 30 years as on 01-04-2010 for the posts at Sl. Nos. 2 & 3.

Fulfilment of essential and desirable qualifications may not confer any right for an interview. The University reserves the right to decide on the number of candidates to be called for interview for a particular post.

Stipulations in respect of qualifications, experience and age may be relaxed by the Syndicate, in cases of exceptionally brilliant candidates or candidates who have been working in the University System, on the recommendation of the relevant Standing Committee. The Standing Committee reserves the right to consider suitable persons who may not formally apply. Appointment will be made on probation for one year which may be waived or extended in exceptional cases and will be governed by the rules of the University as framed and/or to be framed/amended from time to time. Candidates already in employment should apply through proper channel.
