Name of the Post Nutrition Specialist

Location: Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

Purpose of the post:

The incumbent will be responsible for facilitating and influencing the State Government’s policy, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, for the Child Development and Nutrition programme within one State in India. S/he will work under the daily supervision of the Programme Manager, Bhopal and will work at the both State and District level. S/he will also take sector specific guidance from the Child Development and Nutrition Section (Technical Centre of Excellence), Delhi.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and competencies required:

Advanced university degree in one of the disciplines relevant to the following areas: Public Health & Nutrition, Health Sciences, International Health & Nutrition, Family Health & Nutrition, Nutritional Epidemiology, Health & Nutrition Education, Health & Nutrition Promotion and Disease Prevention, Public Health, Health Emergency Preparedness, or other relevant discipline(s).

Five years progressively responsible professional work experience in social development- preferably in child development and nutrition at state level, project administration, monitoring and evaluation.

Fluency in English required. Knowledge of local working language of the duty station an asset.
