Qualification

(a) # A master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of ‘ B’ in the UGC seven point scale.

(b) At least 15 years’ of experience as Lecturer (Sr.Scale)/ Lecturer with eight years in Reader’s grade alongwith experience in educational administration.

OR

Comparable experience in research establishment and/ or other institutions of higher education.

15 years’ of administrative experience of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

Qualification

(i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers.

(ii ) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college, and/or experience in research at the University/National level institutions/industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.

(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process.

OR

An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned / allied/ relevant discipline to be substantiated by credentials.

Qualification

B.E/B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent either in BE/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech as applicable and Ph.D or equivalent in appropriate discipline.

Post Ph.D publication and guiding Ph.D student is highly desirable.

Minimum 10 years teaching/ research/ industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor.

OR

Minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and /or Research and / or Industry. In case of research experience, good academic record and books/ research paper publications / IPR / Patents record shall be required as deemed fit by the expert members of the Selection committee.

If the experience in industry is considered, the same shall be at managerial level equivalent to Associate Professor with active participation record in devising/ designing, planning , executing, analyzing, quality control, innovating, training, technical books/research paper publications /IPR / patents, etc as deemed fit by the expert members of the selection committee.

The experience of administration in any educational Institutional will be an added qualifications.

Qualification

Good academic record plus Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B (percentage equivalent from 55%to 64%) with three years administrative experience at supervisory capacity.

One Contractual Staff in the Centre for Research in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology

A walk-in interview will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Office of the Director, Centre for Research in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, University of Calcutta, Salt Lake Campus, JD-2, Sector-III, Salt Lake, Kolkata - 700 098, to select One (1) Contractual Staff, for one year for the time being, in the Centre for Research in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, University of Calcutta, for operation, maintenance and supervision of the Clean Room facilities.

Minimum qualification is Higher Secondary with Training in Electrical Trade from a recognized training institute and at least three (3) years experience in the relevant field related to Semiconductor grade Clean Room facilities. Salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience, to be finalized on the basis of the recommendation of the appropriate Selection Committee formed for the purpose.
