The Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers' Rights (PPV&FR) Act, 2001, provides for establishment of an effective system of plant varieties, the rights of farmers and plants breeders and encourages the development of new varieties of plants. PPV&FR Authority was established under the Dept of Agriculture and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture. PPV&FR Authority invites applications for filling up of the following post for its two Regional Offices at Ranchi & Guwahati on contract basis:

1 Name of the Post Plant Variety Examiner (1 each at Ranchi & Guwahati).

2 Name of the Post Senior Technical Officer (1 each at Ranchi & Guwahati)

The completed applications in the prescribed format available in the website www.plantauthority.gov.in alongwith attested copies of all testimonials/certificates shall may sent to In-charge (Admn.), Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers' Rights Authority, on the above address by 28th February, 2012.

Applications of the candidate working in Govt. /Semi-Govt./Autonomous bodies etc. should be sent routed through proper channel alongwith ACR of the last five years, Vigilance Clearance, Integrity Certificates and statement of major/minor penalty , if any imposed during the last 10 years before the last date.
