Walk-in interview

A Walk-in interview will be held on 26th March 2012 at 11.00 a.m. in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Tezpur University, for appointment of 02 (Two) Junior Research Fellows under the following DBT-Twinning Projects of Dr. Manabendra Mandal, Associate Professor, Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.

Title of the Projects :

“Study of microbial diversity and biochemical characteristics of selected non alcoholic fermented (milk, vegetable and pulses) food product of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh” and

“Isolation and characterization of hydrogen producing bacteria from North-Eastern states of India, (With special emphasis on Assam and Arunachal Pradesh), for efficient conversion of biomass to hydrogen”

Fellowship Rs.16000+ 10% HRA p.m. for the first two years (JRF) and Rs. 18000+ 10% HRA p.m. for the 3rd year (SRF) will be applicable to NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified candidates. Rs. 12000+10% HRA p.m. for the first two years and Rs 14,000+10% HRA p.m. for the 3rd year (SRF) for other candidate.

Educational Qualification Candidate must possess a M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Botany/Zoology or any branch of Life sciences from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA for general category and for SC/ST/OBC relaxation will be given as per Government of India rules.

Age Limit Candidate should not be more than 28 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidate belonging to OBC/SC/ST.

Period 3 years or till completion of the project whichever is earlier.
