Position open for JRF in Department of Physics
Applications are invited from the intending qualified candidates in plain papers along with CV and necessary documents for a post of JRF in a DST sponsored three years research project entitled “Study of TeV gamma ray emission from magentars using HAGAR telescope of Indian Astronomical Observatory at Hanle”. Applications are to be reached to the Head, Department of Physics, Dibrugarh University on or before 26.12.2011. This is collaborative research project with Tata Institute of Fundamental research (TIFR), Mumbai and India Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Bangalore. Selected candidate shall have to stay sometimes in TIFR, IIA and Hanle (Ladakh) during the project work.
Qualification: M.Sc. in Physics. Preference will be given to the candidate having specialization in High Energy Physics or Astro-physics or Astronomy. NET or SLET qualified candidates are highly desirable. Fellowship : Rs.16,000/- p.m. (for the first two years) and Rs.18,000/-p.m. (in the last year) + HRA @ 10%.”
