The Indian School of Mines, established in 1926, which offers B.Tech in Computer Science & Engg, Electrical, Electronics, Environmental Science & Engg., Mechanical, Mineral, Mining, Mining Machinery and Petroleum Engineering, and M.Tech, MSc, MSc Tech, MPhil, MBA and Ph.D programs in the areas of Engineering, Earth Sciences, Basic & Applied Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences and Management Studies, invites application from Indian nationals for the following reserved positions for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

Prescribed application forms available with the Asstt. Registrar (Estt) can be obtained by sending crossed demand draft of Rs.100/- drawn in favour of Registrar, Indian School of Mines , along with a self-addressed stamped (Rs.50/-) envelope of 30 cmx12cm size. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from paying application fee. Provision for reservation of SC/ST/PH/OBC will be applicable as per Government of India Rules. Candidates called for interview will be paid sleeper class railway fare by the shortest route as per rules. Application form may also be downloaded from the institute’s website www.ismdhanbad.ac.in/noticeboard/recruitment.php and submitted with necessary fees to the Assistant Registrar (Estt), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad-826 004. Applications for above positions will be received upto 4th August, 2010. Mere fulfilling of prescribed qualification and experience will not vest any right in the candidates to be called for interview. Institute may adopt suitable criteria to fix higher qualifying marks and conduct written test/professional competence test to short list candidates for interview Age relaxation for OBC, SC/ST and Ex-Servicemen will be as per Govt. rules. Canvassing in any form may invite disqualification of candidature. Legal dispute regarding the above will be restricted within the jurisdiction of Dhanbad only.
