Applications are invited through direct recruitment from eligible candidates for the following posts in the prescribed format.

(1) Scientist 'C' or higher post

Pay Band:3 Rs. 15600-39100, Grade Pay Rs. 6600 Or higher grade pay commensurate with qualification (Number of posts not fixed)

(2) Registrar (One Post)

Pay Band:3- Rs. 15600-39100, Grade Pay :Rs. 7600

(3) Engineering Assistant 'B' (Two Post-Reserved for OBC)

Pay Band:1- Rs. 5200-20200, Grade Pay :Rs.2800

(4) Engineering Assistant 'B'

(Two Post-Reserved for OBC) (One for Hardware and one for software)

Pay Band:1- Rs. 5200-20200, Grade Pay :Rs.2800

The application should be on the format provided on Website http://www.aries.res.in of the Institute with relevant details and affixing one self attested recent colored passport size photograph. (2) The maximum age limit for Sl.No. 01 is 40 years and Sl.No. 02 is 50 years and for other posts is 35 years as on 31-03-2010. The age limit is relaxable as per Govt. of India rules for SC/ST / OBC and PH candidates respectively on production of relevant certificates. (3) Advance increments can be considered for Meritorious Candidates as per norms. (4) The number of post for Sl.No. 01 is not fixed and Reservation is applicable as per the guidelines of the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India norms. (5) For the post of Scientist, applications will be accepted upto 5:00 p.m of 30 September, 2010 and for the other posts, applications will be accepted upto 5.00 p.m. of 15 May, 2010(6) The envelope containing the application must be superscribed in Bold letters ''Application for the post of …………''. (7) The Institute will not be responsible for any postal delay. No correspondence in this matter will be entertained by this office. (8) Mere fulfilling of prescribed qualification and experience will not vest any right in the candidates to be called for test/interview. The Director reserves the right to reject any or all the applications without assigning any reason. (9) Self attested Photostat copies of the documents of all the supporting facts must be attached. (10) All the applications should be sent to The Director, Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences, (ARIES), Manora Peak, Nainital- 263 129 (Uttarakhand). (11) The candidates will be called for test/interview after screening. (12) The selected candidates can be posted at Manorapeak or Devasthal. (13) For Scientist Post, attach a list of Research Papers, Remarkable work etc. The Copies of reprints may be attached. (14)The number of posts can be increased or decreased. (15) Application should be forwarded through proper channel or NOC should be produced at the time of interview.
