BHABHA ATOMIC RESEARCH CENTRE (BARC) invites applications for the following Group `A’ Gazetted posts in 300 bed hospital with 12 dispensaries across Mumbai and its agglomeration area. In addition, the hospital is running a dispensary for industry purpose at Vashi, Navi Mumbai.

Name of the Post : Scientific Officer/D (Ophthalmic Surgeon)

Pay Band + Grade Pay : (PB-3) Rs.15600-39100+6600+NPA

Number of post : One

Qualification & Experience : MS/DNB(Ophthalmology) from a recognised University. Surgical experience in `PHACOEMULSIFICATION’ and `Posterior Segment’ will be preferred. Basic Computer knowledge is preferable.

Nature of duties : 1) OPD Consultation for diagnosis and management of various Ophthalmic problems inclusive of anterior & posterior segment of the eye either by appointment or urgent basis.

2) Performing major and minor ophthalmic surgeries in the operation theatre,

3) Teaching of residents and performing administrative duties as and when delegated by seniors in the department.

(Total emoluments per annum will be approximately Rs. 6.4 lakh including HRA/TA.)
