SELECTION OF PROJECT STAFF THROUGH WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

Name of the Project:

1. Groundwater Management in Over-exploited Blocks of Chitradurga and Tumkur Districts of Karnataka

2. Assessment of Groundwater Resources & Development Potential of Yamuna Floodplain, NCT Delhi

Name of the post : Senior Research Fellow

Number of Posts : One Post for Project No. 1 (Roorkee),

Two posts for Project No.2 (Roorkee/Delhi)

Emoluments : Rs.14,000/- per month (consolidated) + HRA (as admissible)

Duration : Up to 31st December 2011 for Project No. 1 Up to 31st December 2010 for Project No. 2

Qualification : Masters Degree in Sciences OR Bachelors Degree in Engineering (in relevant field) with at least two years of experience. Higher degree shall be considered as experience.

Note: In case suitable candidates with 2 years experience are not available, then appointment shall be made at the level of Junior Research Fellow with a monthly salary of Rs.12,000/- + HRA (as admissible)

General Conditions:

1. Maximum 35 years as on the date of interview. Higher age can be considered in case of Ph.D. and extra ordinary candidates.

2. This post is purely temporary on co-terminus basis and do not entitle the appointee to claim implicit or explicit or any NIH post.

3. Candidate can directly attend the walk in interview on 03/03/2010 at 10:00 hours in the chamber of Dr. Bhishm Kumar, Scientist F, NIH, Roorkee along with complete biodata with photocopy certificates, passport size photographs and original proof of qualification and experience.

4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

5. Biodata format: Advt. No., Post applied for, Name of the candidate, Father’s name, Date of birth, Age, Nationality, Marital status, Category (SC/ST/OBC/General), Address for communication, Telephone No., Details of qualifications (High school onwards giving exam passed, year of passing, name of Board/University, subjects, division with percentage of marks), working experience if any.
