Air India Charters Limited invites applications for the post of CAPTAIN, rated on B737-800 aircraft, from Indian Citizens (wherever domiciled) belonging to the General/ Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Class Community fulfilling the following requirements to fill up the existing vacancies for Air India Express on Permanent/Contractual Employment

NUMBER OF VACANCIES:

• Post: Type Rated CAPTAIN: 20
(GEN: 10 SC: 3 ST: 2 OBC: 5)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

A) TECHNICAL QUALIFICATION:

Candidates should be in possession of:

i. ATPL issued by Director General of Civil Aviation, Govt of India which should be current at the time of application.

ii. Endorsement on B737-800NG (which should be valid & current) at the time of application.

iii. Instrument Rating endorsement on Indian ATPL on B737-800NG (which should valid & current) at the time of application.

iv. FRTO licence issued by DGCA (which should be valid and current at the time of application).

v. RTR(P)/RTR(C)/RTR issued by Ministry of Communication, WPC Wing, Govt. of India (Which should be valid and current at the time of application).

• Note: Graduates in Engineering / B.Sc.(Maths and Physics) / B.Sc.(Aviation)/ B.IT (inclusive of Maths & Physics) will be given due weightage.

B) FLYING EXPERIENCE:

• Total 2000 hrs (minimum) Airline jet experience of which minimum 500 Hrs as PIC on B737-800 NG Aircraft. Or

• Total 2000 hrs (minimum) experience as PIC on B737-200, ATR,CRJs, other similar type of aircraft with AUW above 21000kgs./ Military, Defense jet aircraft of which minimum 100 hrs as PIC on B737-800 NG Aircraft.

Note: Preference will be given to candidates having 500 hrs PIC experience.

• The selection process will tentatively begin from (the 10th of January 2010) and shall be open till 31st July, 2010 subject to Company requirement.
