Qualifications:

1. Research Associate and Post Doctoral Fellows: Candidate who have obtained Ph.D. Degree with quality publications in peer reviewed journals and capable of independent research can apply.

2. Research Fellows :

JRF : Candidates with M.Sc(1st class) in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/LifeScience/Zoology/Microbiology/Botany/Virology/Environmental Science can apply. UGC-CSIR NET and /or GATE cleared are desired.

SRF : candidates with 2 years research experience and /or publications in peer reviewed journals (with or without NET/GATE qualification) can apply.

Technical Assistants: candidates with B.Sc./ M.Sc. (1st class) in Microbiology/ Virology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Environmental Science/Botany/ Zoology can apply Experience of work on research project /laboratory work / specialized training in laboratory will be desirable. These fellowships are up to 31st March 2010 and likely to be extended by UGC in 2nd Phase of UPE. Fellowships will be given as per Govt. rules and regulations.
