The Distance Education Programme – Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (DEP-SSA) of IGNOU is a national centre for distance activities under SSA in a project mode and fully sponsored by the MHRD, Govt. of India with focused objective of capacity building of teachers and other personnel for enhancing quality of school education at elementary level in the country. The project invites applications for the posts of Personal Secretary and Accountant in the Pay Band – 2, Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- on deputation basis/Contract. The appointment will be made initially for a period of one year or the Project Period whichever is earlier. It can be extended on year-to-year basis as per the need of the Project and based on performance

Eligibility for Personal Secretary : Bachelors Degree from a recognized University with minimum speed of 100 w.p.m. in shorthand and 40 w.p.m. in typing, having atleast three years working experience as Stenographer in private/public sector organization. Ability to do word processing in PC/IBM-PC compatible machine is essentially required. The candidates shall have to (i) provide effective administrative and secretarial support for the effective administration of the project office (ii) demonstrate ability to use office technologies effectively for achieving project objectives, (iii) contribute support to the Project Director with full commitment in resolving the administrative and financial issues (iv) support for documentation of the project income; and (v) demonstrate to work with others.
