A walk-in-interview will be held on 24.08.2011 to recruit a Senior Research Fellow position at the Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi-110012 for the following project.

Project: “NAIP Project on “Bioprospecting of gene and allele mining for abiotic stress tolerance (Maize Component)”, [PI: Dr. T. Nepolean, Senior Scientist, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi-110012].

Pay Scale: Rs. 16,000/- + 30% HRA per month.

Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Genetics/ Plant breeding/ Biotechnology/ Plant Molecular Biology/ Botany/ Biochemistry.

Desirable Qualification: Research experience in applications of molecular markers, gene expression analyses and high throughput marker data generation in crops.

The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially up to March 2012, but may be extended further based on the performance of the candidate or till the termination of the project whichever is earlier. The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project.
