Applications are invited for the post of a Junior Research Fellow in the Department of Applied Chemistry, Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University for a CSIR, Govt. of India Sponsored Project entitled “ A low cost production of methane from the by-product (glycerol and wastewater) generated during synthesis of biodiesel” for a period of three years. The posts is purely temporary and co-terminated with the project. The required qualifications, age and emoluments to be paid are as follows:

Junior Research Fellow: Qualifications, M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry/Applied Chemistry, with at least 55% marks, and NET/GATE qualified. Age: 28 Years maximum, Emolument Rs: 16,000/- P.M. fixed + HRA . Candidates who have appeared in their final examinations will also be considered but their selection will be provisional.

A relaxation of 5 years in age will be given to SC/ST, Physically Handicapped, and Female candidates. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules. The candidates with some working experience supported by research articles in the relevant field will be preferred.
