Executive - Editorial Support – Yahoo Locals About Yahoo Locals :

Yahoo Locals is a website which provides listings of business and services in 16 cities. The listing covers segments like restaurants, hotels, shopping, entertainment , beauty and a host of other categories. The listings are now being expanded to include photographs, additional information and even write-ups. Role: Provide Editorial support and content management for Yahoo Locals and database related activities. The role will be based out of Bangalore.

Responsibilities:

Database: Provide Consumer Submit moderation – correction, editorial and management of Consumer Submits/other listings Categorization Control and Support – provide accurate updates for database content on category , line of business. Collect feedback from the market and provide first hand customer inputs to Y! Internal teams for product process improvement.

Front Page, Social media, Yahoo Search Marketing: Manage Locals links and content on Front Page locals modules Develop metrics for links put up on Front Page Modules with regular inputs from search and search Engine optimization team Track and provide regular updates on Search Marketing Links Run contests in association with Marketing to enhance usage of locals properties Conceptualize and implement new initiatives : Develop content with Y!Editorial teams to increase traffic to site

Requirements: 2-3 years of editorial experience, with good to excellent spoken and written skills . Ability to review and provide accurate feedback Should have written articles for journals, magazines or newspapers Social marketing awareness and skills – Face book and Twitter aware and conversant Good at Excel, content manipulation Graduate from a good institution with specialization in English/Arts Aggressive and go getter with strong emphasis on targets provided and metrics. Team player- must endeavor to be part of the team and actively participate in team activity
