Advertisement for JRF/Project Fellow position in Nuclear Physics
Applications are invited for filling a JRF/Project fellow position in Nuclear Physics in a UGC-DAE-CSR, KC, Collaborative Research Scheme entitled “Search for Anti-magnetic rotation in A~100 nuclei”.
Position : JRF/Project Fellow( 3-Year Duration) (Provisional appointment will be for one-year, likely be extended up to 3-years)
Essential Qualifications : M.Sc. in Nuclear Physics or M.Sc. Physics with Nuclear Physics background with a minimum of 55% marks
Desirable Qualification : CSIR/NET qualified candidates and those with experience working in In-beam gamma-spectroscopy would be given priority.
Fellowship : Rs.8000/- p.m.(consolidated) for M.Sc. candidates, However, NET-JRF qualified candidate will be paid Rs.12,000/- p.m. + HRA
Selection of the JRF/Project fellow will be based on an interview. Date of interview will be informed to the short listed candidates on a later date. Candidates have to attend interview on their own expenses.
Selected candidate will have to work with Dr. P. V. Madhusudhana Rao, Department of Nuclear Physics, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and should be prepared for longer duration field trips as and when it is required at UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research, Kolkata Centre and other National Laboratories.
