Applications are invited on prescribed form for a post of Librarian (UR) in the pay scale of Rs.15600-39100 with AGP of Rs.6000 and other benefits as per DU rules.

Eligibility : Good academic record with Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% aggregate (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Handicapped or those who passed their Master’s degree prior to 19 9 1991 and hold a Ph D degree) or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E & F at the Master’s degree level in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation from an Indian University or an equivalent professional degree.

Knowledge of library computerization and modern library security systems is desirable.

NET / SLET is compulsory with M Phil and exempted for Ph. D if obtained in compliance with the provisions of UGC (Minimum Standards And Procedure for Awards of M Phild/Ph.D Degree) Regulation 2009. Any change in DU/UGC rules will apply.
