Applications are invited for the post of Finance Officer in accordance with the details and application form available on our website http://www.tiruvarur.tn.nic.in Candidates who had applied in response to our earlier notification need not apply. University reserves the right to shortlist applicants based on their suitability for the post in addition to fulfilling the prescribed essential qualifications through a screening mechanism. The last date for receipt of applications is 3rd October 2009. Other terms and conditions of the Notification remain unchanged.

The post is in the pay band of Rs. 37500-67000 with Grade Pay of Rs.10,000/- plus allowances as per the rules of the Central Government (Government of India).

Essential Qualifications:

a. A Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale

b. 15 years’ of appropriate experience of financial management of which 8 years as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post of a University/Government.

OR

c. Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other Institutions of higher education

OR

d. With an overall service of 15 years including 12 years in posts of group ‘A’ level.
