Duration of project: About four years. Initial appointment is for one year and then it will be renewed annually subject to satisfactory performance.

Fellowship: Project Assistant Level II: Rs.12000/- pm (consolidated), Project JRF (NET-LS/GATE): Rs.14000/- pm (consolidated).

Age: Maximum 28 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR rule.

Job description:

Studies on thermodynamics and phase equilibria of saline water. Development of novel methods of increase in quality and production of common salt and marine chemicals, saline waste management. Demonstration of methods of high purity salt and marine chemicals production at different locations and survey of saline lands for assessing suitability of salt production in the country. Extraction of metal ions from concentrated brines. Studies on crystal habit modification and simulation and modeling study to design smart functional materials for various applications.

Project Assistant Level -I: 01 post

Qualifications: B.Sc. with minimum 55% marks with chemistry as one of the subjects from a recognized university.

Duration of project: About four years. Initial appointment is for one year and then it will be renewed annually subject to satisfactory performance.

Fellowship: Rs. 8,000/- p.m. (Consolidated).
