The driving skill test for the posts of bus drivers in CTU held from 16.01.2013 to 02.03.2013, total 423 candidates bearing following Application-ID Nos. have qualified the said driving skill test and they are advised to appear in the written test to be held on 24.03.2013

The above candidates are called for written test (objective type) which will be held on 24.03.2013 (Sunday) from 10.30AM to 12.30PM at Chandigarh. The Admission card for written test should be downloaded from the above website from 15.03.2013 onward. The venue/centre of written test will be intimated on website of CTU on 21.03.2013. The candidates can refer to specimen OMR answer sheet and sample question paper on the website on 15.03.2013.

Duration of written test: The candidate is advised to report in the Examination Centre at 10.00AM. Further he should be seated on his seat in the examination hall at 10.30 AM. The written test will start at 11.00 AM and finish at 12.30 PM. No candidate will be allowed for written test after 11.00 AM. There will be no negative marking. The question paper will be in 03 languages i.e. English, Hindi & Punjabi.

Principal Investigator-Protein Biochemistry

HIV Vaccine Translational Research laboratory (HVTR), a collaborative effort of Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) and International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), USA is seeking Principal Investigator- Protein Biochemistry.

HVTR aims to accelerate and advance HIV vaccine research and development and shall be an integral part of the THSTI cluster of research centers and will be closely linked to global network of R&D facilities, including IAVIs Neutralizing Antibody Consortium (NAC) and IAVI Design and Development lab, situated in Brooklyn, New York.

HVTR would be an innovative discovery program and will be directed at designing, testing and implementing highthroughput (HT) strategies for HIV-1 envelope-based immunogen screening and prioritization to help discover and advance novel HIV vaccine candidates. The program is targeted to expand the number of vaccine candidates for testing, and enhance the speed with which they can be assayed. The unique industrial-type high-throughput vaccine design, screening and selection processes proposed will be largely facilitated by interdisciplinary interaction and thus driven by principles of international collaboration, high-quality science and vaccine-oriented applied research.

Key Responsibilities:

Formulate, lead, and guide all scientific aspects of the Program related to expression, production and characterization of HIV Envelopes, scaffolds, peptides and antibodies in sufficient quantities for both in vitro and in vivo studies and for the use of these proteins as reagent in the lab or by NAC investigators under the broad direction of the Program Director.

Oversee the conduct of research and research team to help ensure ethical conduct in all aspects of the research process including but not limited to conflicts of interest, data acquisition, management, sharing and ownership, publication practices, responsible authorship, and collaborative research and reporting.

Develop and manage the project budget & financial plan and report on project progress as outlined in the project plan and maintain accurate records of project related activities and expenses to the Program Director.

Ensure and establish effective working relationships, scientific linkages and collaborations with other scientists within THSTI cluster and IAVI NAC and also with THSTI and IAVI India office.

National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), Bangalore, is a premier Research Laboratory under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) which is an Autonomous Body under the Government of India. In addition to many Research, Development and Technology Programmes in Aerospace, NAL is actively involved in supporting the National Aerospace Programmes of ADA, DRDO, ISRO, HAL and IAF etc. Further, NAL has a strong programme in Civil Aviation including the nationally important project of design and development of a multirole Light Transport Aircraft (SARAS). NAL is also exploiting several aerospace technologies into spin-off industrial applications. It has excellent facilities in all the aerospace disciplines.

The CSIR Centre for Mathematical Modelling and Computer Simulation(C-MMACS) was established in 1988 to undertake major tasks in modelling and simulation in selected Scientific and Engineering areas and to strengthen ongoing similar activities in the CSIR laboratories. C-MMACS has established a strong base of contemporary computing facilities and has made significant contributions in the areas of ocean/atmosphere modelling, GPS geodesy, nonlinear dynamical system theory and industrial computational mechanics.

CSIR-NAL/CMMACS is looking for bright, talented, qualified professionals having brilliant academic record, high level of motivation and zeal for innovative research as Scientists to participate in the exciting task of Aerospace R&D, Technology Development and related applications.
