TISS was invited by an NGO in UP to conduct a quick study of the works undertaken by it, which are primarily focused on community mobilisation.

The NGO does this through setting up women's self-help groups and training key community resource personnel to lead the process themselves. The NGO has developed a working model of socio-economic transformation and would now like to replicate this across Uttar Pradesh. TISS plans to engage with the NGO to enable them to expand their impact areas without diluting the spirit of the programme.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences/ Science/ Social Work with experience in the field, preferably with rural communities

• He/she should have a working knowledge of Hindi.
