Positions are available in India Meteorological Department for 19 (Nineteen) posts of Research Scientist, Research Associate-I (RA-I), Research Associate-II (RA-II), Research Associate-III (RA-III) and Junior Research Fellow (JRF) as per the following details for engagement on Project Mode (Contract basis).

Selection Procedure / Appointment: Walk in interview will be held on 28.01.2011 at 09.30 Hrs at Mausam Bhawan, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. Preference will be given to those candidates whose research interest and work experience has relevance to the mandate of the Project. The selected candidates will be offered Fellowship at IMD for an initial period of 1 year or upto 31.03.2012 which ever is earlier and may be extended by another year based on the performance of the candidate and requirement in the Department. The above positions are purely temporary contractual and co-terminus with the project. There is no provision of re-employment after termination of the project. No TA/DA will be paid to any candidate for attending the interview. Candidate should not have any type of conviction in the court anywhere in India.
