National Institute of Epidemiology (NIE) proposes to fill up the following posts on purely temporary basis under the project entitled “HIV Epidemiology Training Programme” (HETP) at NIE, Chennai.

Scientist-C (Program Manager) (1 Post)

Essential Qualification

a) MBBS/BDS degree recognized by MCI/DCI (OR) 1st class Master’s degree in Social sciences / Life sciences/Biological sciences from a recognized university

b) 4 years research / teaching experience in relevant field after obtaining essential qualification

Salary Consolidated salary of Rs.34,020 + HRA p.m. for non-medical & Rs.44,179 + NPA+HRA p.m. for medical persons.

Scientist-C (Epidemiologist) (1 Post)

Essential Qualification

a) MBBS/BDS degree recognized by MCI/DCI (OR) 1st class Master’s degree in Public Health / Epidemiology from a recognized university

b) 4 years research / teaching experience in relevant field after obtaining essential qualification

Salary Consolidated salary of Rs.34,020 +HRA p.m. for non-medical & Rs.44,179 + NPA+HRA p.m. for medical persons.

Scientist-C (Data Manager) (1 Post)

Essential Qualification

a) Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

(OR)

Engineering graduate in Computer Science or Information Technology

(OR)

Master’s degree in Mathematics / Statistics / Bio-statistics from a recognized university

Salary Consolidated salary of Rs.34,020 + HRA p.m.

Assistant (Administration) (1 Post)

Essential Qualification

a) Any Graduate degree from a recognized university

b) 4 years experience in data management

Salary Consolidated salary of Rs.22,532/- p.m.

Walk-in-interview for the above posts will be held on 2nd November 2010 (Tuesday) between 9.30 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. at National Institute of Epidemiology, Chennai. Candidates appearing after 1.00 p.m. will not be considered.
