Recruitment of Male Constables in Punjab Police (Distt. S.A.S Nagar)

Applications are invited from Male candidates for filling up 359 posts for District Police Cadre (Distt.S.A.S.Nagar) in the rank of constable in Punjab Police.

Educational qualifications: The minimum educational qualification for recruitment is 10+2 in any discipline or equivalent. It is compulsory for each candidate to have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as compulsory/optional subject. However, in case of Ex-Servicemen the minimum educational qualification will be matriculation.

The minimum and maximum age for recruitment shall be 18 years and 25 years respectively.

Selection shall be made by the District Recruitment Board.

Selection process would comprise of three phases

(A) Physical Measurement
(B) Physical Efficiency Test
(C) Interview.

Application Form can be obtained by paying Rs. 100/- cash on all working days during office hours (9.00 a.m. to 1.30 P.M and 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.) from S.S.P.office, S.A.S.Nagar w.e.f.19th July, 2010. Candidates may also apply on forms downloaded from the official website of the Punjab Police www.punjabpoliceindia.org. Complete application forms shall be accompanied by an Account Payee, Demand Draft amounting to Rs. 100/- in favour of “Chairman, District Recruitment Board (_S.A.S Nagar) payable at S.A.S Nagar. The candidate must write his Name and Address at the back side of the Bank Draft in capital letters.

The application form completely filled in all aspects alongwith all the necessary documents/certificate must reach the Chairman, District Recruitment Board SSP Office, SAS Nagar upto 10.08.2010 (from 9.00 A.M to 5.00 P.M) on all working days including Saturdays). The application received after 5.00 P.M on 10.08.2010 shall not be considered.
