Applications are invited for the following posts at the Centre for Women’s studies to work on a project titled “Women in Pondicherry: Problems and Prospects”. The walk in interview for the posts will be held on 23th April 2010 at 10 am at the office of the Dean of Social Sciences and International Relations

1. Research Fellow One year Rs 8000/- (consolidated)
2. Research Assistants One Year Rs 6000/- (consolidated)

Essential Qualifications

Research Fellow: A postgraduate in any discipline with aptitude for research in Women’s studies, and capable of designing, organizing and analyzing research projects in Women’s Studies. Must be gender sensitive and aware of the latest developments in the field and well versed with research methodology in Women’s Studies. The candidate would also be expected to assist with the activities of the Centre and the implementation of its action plan. Preference will be given to those who have passed the UGC NET in Women’s Studies.

Research Assistant: A postgraduate in any discipline with aptitude for research in Women’s studies. Preference will be given to those who have passed the UGC NET in Women’s Studies. The candidate will be expected to do field work and collect data from various sources. They would also be required to assist and participate in all the activities of the Centre.

Candidates should send his/her bio-data with attested photo copies of certificates.

No T.A. and D.A. will be paid for attending the interview.
