A walk-in interview will be held at Alagappa University, Karaikudi - 630 003 for the position of “Junior Research fellow” (JRF) / Project fellow (PF) for the following Research Projects.

1. DBT Sponsored Project /Date of Interview/Venue/Principal Investigator / Emoluments / Project Duration / Time 1. 30 pm .

“Genome characterization and mRNA transcript analysis of novel immune related genes α 2 macroglobulin and serine proteinase from Feneropenaeus indicus”. / 07.10.09 / Department of Animal Health and Management / Dr.B.Vaseeharan / Rs. 12000 + HRA 15% pm for 1st and 2nd year and Rs.14000 + HRA 15% for third year p.m.-JRF

2. DST Sponsored Project /Date of Interview/Venue/Principal Investigator / Emoluments / Project Duration /Time 3. 30 pm .

Molecular cloning and characterization of novel gene lipopolysaccharide and B-1,3-glucan binding protein (LGBP) from Feneropenaeus indicus and its mRNA transcript analysis in shrimp treated with immunostimulants”/ 07.10.09 / Department of Animal Health and Management / Dr.B.Vaseeharan / Rs. 8000 pm for three years .- PF

Candidates appearing for walk-in interview should bring their CV, copy of Certificates with original, etc. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Qualification: Master degree, Minimum 55 % in the relevant disciplines as below: Animal Health and Management/ Zoology / Bio Chemistry / Biology / Microbiology/Biotechnology /Molecular Biology/ Marine Biology /Aquaculture or Equivalent degree.

Preferable: NET/GATE/ Research Experience in Molecular techniques.
