Recruitment of 1 Post of Consultant “Department of Elementary Education (Early Literacy) in the NCERT

The Department of Elementary Education (DEE) is a nodal department of NCERT to advise the Government of India on policies and programmes pertaining to elementary education in formal and Alternative Innovative Education Sector at the national level. It also acts as a nodal centre at the national level for the implementation of SSA and RTE Act 2009. Under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan the department works for the enhancement of reading & writing opportunities and skills in children of classes I and II.

Essential Qualification: Post Graduate in Education/Sociology/Social work with 55% marks or above and minimum one year of experience in Research and Evaluation studies.

The Early Literacy Programme requires the following academic project staff on contract basis for a specific period. The selected person will be engaged initially upto 31/3/2012 which may be extendable from time to time on the basis of performance till the completion of the project.
